Closing transmittals

While the workflow of a transmittal is active, the transmittal is considered open and can be selected by the Meridian Transmittal Management Modulecommands. When the transmittal has been thoroughly processed and is no longer needed, it can be closed so that it is no longer available for selection by the Meridian Transmittal Management Modulecommands and can be excluded from reports.

To close a transmittal:

  1. Select the transmittal that you want to close.
  2. On the Document menu, point to Document Workflow, and select Release. The Status of the transmittal is Released and the TransOpen property of the transmittal is 0. If the Release command is cleared, the transmittal may need to be routed through additional workflow steps before it can be released.

Note    This procedure assumes that the VBScript event code of the vault configuration has been customized to properly reset the TransOpen property. For more information about the customization of the vault, see a system administrator.
